New Mexicans want a balanced water policy that plans for future shortages, expands water storage and reuse, addresses legal issues and protects environmental resources. They want to explore new water sources, including potential of cleaning up brackish water in our aquifers. They also want to improve the ways the state finances water projects. These were the recommendations and results of the April Town Hall on Water Planning, Development & Use. Come and learn more about water policy at the November MVEDA Business in the Borderplex Forum.
The forum, featuring New Mexico First President Heather Balas, will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM at the Hotel Encanto de Las Cruces, 705 S. Telshor. The meeting will begin with a hot entrée buffet followed by a brief update from MVEDA staff.
Advance registration is $20.00 per person, payable by major credit card via the secure portal on the registration form. Payment at the door with cash, check or credit card is $25.00 per person. Due to space limitations, reservations are required. Registration closes Thursday, October 30.
The MVEDA Business in the Borderplex Forums are monthly events that provide public discourse of relevant economic development issues impacting Southern New Mexico.
