As millions of people engage in the online communities of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other social media sites, business owners are finding more and more that there is a serious market right before their eyes. Some of the most popular social media sites boast hundreds of thousands of communication transfers per minute. The big question is, “are people talking about your product or service within Social Media?” If there is some talk of your business within Social Media, do you have a way to convert users to followers of your brand?
Although social media may seem like a difficult and frightening approach to business marketing, there are some simple steps to reign in the power of the online giants. The Las Cruces Small Business Development Center is hosting a free workshop titled: “Social Media and Your Business” on March 14, 2013. At this workshop you will learn how to effectively brand your business on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other social media outlets. SBDC presenters will bring a wealth of knowledge on the subject and will work hands on with business owners in developing an online marketing strategy.
