The Association of Commerce & Industry of New Mexico (ACI) reminds all members that now is the time to register for the April 10, 2014 Spring Policy Summit. The event will be held at the Hotel Albuquerque, 800 Rio Grande Blvd NW, beginning at 8:00 a.m.  Registrants will get to provide input into ACI’s different policy areas and help them determine priorities for this interim session.

Presenters include:

  • Todd McCracken, President of the National Small Business Association. Todd will give us an update on the federal issues impacting businesses.  He will bring an insight and depth to these important issues that you will not want to miss.
  • Jeff Witte, Secretary of Agriculture. Secretary Witte will give us an overview of the Ag Industry and the challenges facing our continuing to be able to “eat local.”
  • Secretary Darryl Ackley, Department of Information Technology and Larry Maxwell, State Purchasing Director to discuss doing business with New Mexico Agencies.
  • Katherine Freeman, CEO/President, United Way of Santa Fe County and New Mexico Early Childhood Development Partnership to present the true cost of early childhood education.
  • Mike McConnell, Founder and CEO for AeroVoodoo, LLC and former Vice President at Eclipse Aviation to talk about the barriers to entrepreneurship in our state and ideas to overcome them.
  • Michel Jichlinski, Project Director for Augustin Plains Ranch, LLC to talk about privatization of water.
