Paul Layer, VP of Development at FRENCH Funerals and Cremation in Albuquerque will be the main presenter at the December MVEDA “Business in the Borderplex” Forum. The forum will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM at the Hotel Encanto de Las Cruces, 705 S. Telshor. The meeting will begin with a hot entree buffet followed by a brief update from MVEDA staff.
Paul serves on the Board of Quality New Mexico (QNM) as the Business Development Chair and will speak about how QNM can make a difference in New Mexico businesses and organizations in this tough economy. Quality New Mexico was born out of an idea by public officials and private business leaders that New Mexico should be “The Quality State” and develop a comprehensive strategy establishing and educating the state in quality principles and practices. Twenty years ago Quality New Mexico established the New Mexico Quality Awards program. To date, 721 New Mexico organizations have received formal recognition from the program. The program has a new name – New Mexico Performance Excellence Awards.
