$4.5 Million Available to Help Small Businesses Meet Lending Requirements

New Mexico Economic Development (NMEDD) Secretary Jon Barela announced that New Mexico's State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) has disbursed $8,605,922 in SSBCI funds to help small businesses grow and create jobs, according to the latest Quarterly Report from the U.S. Treasury Department. Local Companies Receive Job Training Incentive Program Funding

The New Mexico Economic Development Department's Job Training Incentive Program (JTIP) board approved $500,427.95 in funding at its November meeting to five companies that will create 78 jobs in New Mexico. The new jobs will average $14.25. In October the board approved $613,839 in funding to eight companies that will create 88 jobs, averaging $16.66. New Mexico’s 3rd Quarter Exports to Mexico Exceeds $1 Billion

The New Mexico Economic Development Department announced that New Mexico exported $1,082,000,000 in goods to Mexico according to the third quarter report released by the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration. This is first time exports to Mexico have surpassed $1 billion. Customs and Border Protection Opens Facility at Santa Teresa Jetport

On November 7, 2014, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Doña Ana County inaugurated CBP's new state-of-the-art facility for processing international flights and cargo at the Santa Teresa Jetport in Santa Teresa, New Mexico.
