New Mexico Ranks First in the Nation for Jobs Related to Exports

In a report from the U.S. Commerce Department today, New Mexico, ranks first in the nation in export-related job growth at 107 percent, well ahead of the closest runner up, Louisiana, at 66 percent. As reported by the Albuquerque Journal, in the last five years local jobs supported directly and indirectly by state exports to other countries grew from about 8,000 in 2009 to 16,500 in 2014.
