A series of five community meetings – one in each of Doña Ana County’s five commission districts – has been scheduled to solicit public input on priority needs for capital-outlay funding in individual communities. Once a priority list is compiled, it will be used to lobby the 2016 New Mexico Legislature for funding.
Meeting dates and locations are as follows:
Tuesday, April 14 – Radium Springs Community Center, 10260 Lindbeck Rd.
Wednesday, April 15 – Betty McKnight Community Center, 190 County Line Rd.
Thursday, April 16 – Vado/Del Cerro Community Center, 180 La Fe Ave.
Tuesday, April 21 – Las Alturas Fire Station, 4145 Cholla Dr.
Thursday, April 23 – Butterfield Community Center, 7350 Berry Patch Rd.
Each meeting will begin at 6 p.m.
Staff from the Doña Ana County Engineering, Community Development, Flood, Utilities and other departments will be on hand at each of the community meetings, and Spanish translation services will be available.
Doña Ana County’s Infrastructure Capital Improvement Plan is coordinated by Michelle Blackwell of the Doña Ana County Engineering/Roads Department.
