This year’s ISPCS Community Partnership Lunch will not only include lunch and a tour of the ISPCS Commercial Space Exhibit Hall, but also a tour to Spaceport America. That was the announcement by Dr. Pat Hynes, Chair of the International Symposium for Personal and Commercial Spaceflight, at the October 1st Business in the Borderplex Forum.
During her presentation, Dr. Hynes explained the role of the annual symposium, the impact of commercial spaceflight and the local impact of the two day event that brings some of the world’s leading spaceflight authorities to Las Cruces each year.
The Community Partnership Lunch will be held at the New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum on Tuesday, October 15, 2013. The keynote speaker will be Michael Blum, President and Founder of Hedgeye Risk Management and a future astronaut for Virgin Galactic and Space Expedition Corporation (SpaceX). His address will focus on what a local community can expect from investment in suborbital commercial space and when.
Registration for the luncheon is $50. You may register online at www.ispcs.com or by calling (575) 646-6414.
An electronic copy of Dr. Hynes’ presentation is available on the MVEDA “Presentations” page.
