Grant Management and Administration
You got a grant…..now what? Learn strategies for negotiating the grant contract, managing due dates, assignments, sub-contracts, and deliverables. The workshop will include information on the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grant programs funded by military and civilian agencies of the U.S. Government. Discover ways to position yourself for additional or follow-on funding, how to close out the grant contract, and what to do with materials, equipment, and intellectual property when the contract ends.
Instructor: Vickie Galindo has been writing grants for the last eight years, which has resulted in more than $56 million in funding. In addition to writing grants, Vickie has successfully managed grant funding for more than a decade in a variety of capacities including program manager and principal investigator. She provides grant writing seminars around the country and enthusiastically shares what she has learned with her students.
