New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez announced that Corrugated Synergies International (CSI) is expanding to Santa Teresa, creating 120 new manufacturing jobs. The company will invest more than $31 million in infrastructure, production equipment, and the renovation of their new facility. CSI is headquartered in Renton, Washington and is an innovative leader in sheet feeding for the corrugated cardboard industry.
In November of 2017, Governor Martinez and staff members from MVEDA and the New Mexico Partnership visited CSI’s corporate headquarters in Renton, Washington to discuss the benefits of expanding to New Mexico.
“We are proud to be making a long-term investment in New Mexico by placing our newest manufacturing facility in Santa Teresa,” said John Perullo CEO of CSI. “New Mexico’s business friendly climate made the decision to come to New Mexico an easy one. The Governor’s visit to our corporate headquarters in the Pacific Northwest underscored the State’s commitment to welcome us.”
“MVEDA is excited to welcome Corrugated Synergies to Doña Ana County,” said Davin Lopez, President/CEO of MVEDA. “Their choice to invest in the region and create jobs is not only a testament to the friendly business policies that have been put in place in New Mexico but also provides further evidence that the Santa Teresa area is now recognized as a premiere location for manufacturing and international trade in the United States.
“CSI is exactly the type of value-added manufacturing operation that we want in Santa Teresa,” said Jerry Pacheco, President of the Border Industrial Association. “It will help increase New Mexico’s exports to Mexico, become a supplier to our existing industrial base, and provide good-paying jobs for New Mexicans.”
