Doña Ana Community College (DACC) Career Services is partnering with New Mexico Workforce Connection, Mesilla Valley Economic Development Alliance (MVEDA), and the Las Cruces Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to bring you a Free Career Readiness Boot Camp and Career EXPO 2016! This event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 30, DACC’s East Mesa Campus Student Resource Building, 2800 Sonoma Ranch Blvd.
The boot camp will take place from 8:30 a.m. to noon. It will provide attendees with tips on what to do before, during, and after attending the Career Expo. Attendees will complete a ProveIT! Assessment, receive a certificate of participation, and have the opportunity to apply for positions in the afternoon. Boot camp check-in starts at 8:00 a.m. and includes continental breakfast, lunch, and all presentation materials. Pre-registration is required to attend the boot camp and can be made by calling (575) 527-7538.
The career readiness boot camp then transitions to a Career EXPO where participants can get their foot in the door, network, and market themselves professionally in front of potential employers from many career fields. The Career EXPO is free and open to the public from 1:30 -5:00 p.m.
